I want to be crafty forever!

It's been a while since I've posted anything for my friends at Craftster, so I thought I'd share my latest project!

I turned an old changing table

Into a kitchen island!!

I am still tweaking around my kitchen, and decided I needed an island.  So for less than $100, this is what happened!

My measurements which were *close enough*  Wink

Sand, prime, draw, paint  Cheesy

Pick out a back that will be kids friendly and have the dudes at the home store cut it to size  Cheesy and screw on some casters  Cheesy

Stick on some mis-matched glass knobs  Cheesy

Talk your friend into building you a top  Cheesy and hang a towel rack in the convenient extra space on the sides  Cheesy

Stand back and enjoy  Cheesy

I think it's happier than the table and stuff that I had posted on here before.  I know I'm happier!

So what do you think??

It's fantastic! And, I have a scrap of wrapping paper that has that exact pattern on it! I've been hoarding it because I love it...

I can't believe you drew and painted it- it's amazing!

Wow, I LOVE the painting!  Did you copy the pattern from somewhere or just make it up?

I would never, ever guess it was meant to be anything other than an island.

It's not a mistake. It's...um...a design feature.

You painted it?!  That is fantastic!  I love the design!  Kind of funky but classic at the same time.  Nice job!
