Quite a while back I saw this project on the clothing board

http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=259659.0

And it inspired me to make my own!  There are 10 tiers in my dress and they are done in rainbow order.  Making my skirt was a labor of love and totally worth all the time I put into it.  I love it and I've gotten so many comments on it when I wear it out in public.  I can't wait to wear it to school once we're back in session.  Cheesy

1. Red - 19 squares
2. Orange - 26 squares
3. Yellow - 33 squares
4. Yellow-Green - 40 squares
5. Green - 47 squares
6. Turquoise/Aqua - 54 squares
7. Blue - 61 squares
8. Purple/Indigo - 68 squares
9. Violet - 75 squares
10. Black - 82 squares

Here are some in progress shots

Where all the very long pieces puddle onto the floor.  Cheesy

Questions and comments are welcome!  Thanks for looking! Cheesy

Wow that is so beautiful.  I love the way the colours run into each other.  You must have a very good eye for colour and patterns taht go together.  Well done and thanks for posting.

Fantastic work! This has been on my crafting bucket list for ages & you may have just pushed me that bit more to bumping it up in priority! I adore your action shots of twirling & it looks very cute on you!

beautiful!

I am a sucker for these, and am in the process of getting up the courage to ruffle & add my last two layers...And attempt that massive hem...

If you have any pointers for people who are thinking about trying one, or started but not finished, would you care to pop by the sew-along thread we have? http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=383002.0

Or even just to show it off Wink

Great job ffrogg!
