I've been working on my master bedroom for about 4 years. I am finally almost done!  I spent last week doing quite a bit of work, so I figured I would go ahead and post.  I'll update as I complete things.   I can;t find a before picture, but the walls were painted very dark green.

Firstly, here is what you see when you walk in the door

All but two of my hoops are from swaps here on Craftster, and the art on the left wall is also from a swap.  That wall is still in progress. Two of the decorative pillows on the bed are also from a swap.  I love my swap stuff!

Secondly-here are the two pieces I painted last week.  I've been waiting years to paint this furniture, but never felt like dealing with the hassle.  Then I discovered Annie Sloan's Chalk paint and am totally happy.  No sanding or priming.  I need to do some touch-up here and there, but that can wait for another day when I am bored.

I took the closet doors off a few months ago because the doors were alway open and in the way. The panels are from Ikea.

The Hope picture is one I made last week.  I got a sample of Louis Blue with my chalk paint order and painted a gold frame I've had around forever, then used scrapbook paper to do the word.  Here's a close-up.

This part is still a work in progress

I can;t decide if I want to paint the jewelry box, and I need to reframe and re-mat my "Happier than a bird with a french fry" print.  I was using the mannequin to take pics of stuff for etsy, but I am kind of liking it there. Now if only I can convince my dh to get new doors!  Maybe I will have to paint them. I will probably not paint my desk since its an actual antique. It currently houses ou r t.v and PS3.  Very unsightly, but I have 4 kids, and some of them think flat screen t.v.'s are a great writing surface.

I guess that is all for now.  I'll update when I finish up all the decor on the walls.

Those dressers are breath taking.  It is amazing what new handles can do.  You did a great job.

It's a fine line between 'hobby' & 'mental illness

The furniture really does look spectacular painted!  As does the "Hope" frame!  And I love the hoops above the bed... I may steal the idea, actually.

A-ok with personal swaps.

Attempting my first quilt.  English paper piecing.  Sewing together 900 hexagons.

LOVE it!  I'm tickled pink to see that someone else loves their swap stuff as much as me Smiley

Since my girls actually nap (knock on wood), I am going to start trying to work off my negative feedback.  Life got hectic with their early arrival.  I apologize for the inconveniences my flaking caused.

I love the upcycling job you did on the dresser and nightstand! Great choice for paint and for handles! I also love the Hope wall art!
