I've just finished my first crochet project, the newsboy hat that I posted in completed projects. Now I'm ready to start something new. I'm thinking about maybe starting something for my niece for Christmas. I was thinking I could get started now so I could have plenty of time in case I mess up and need to redo parts or something and in case I want to take a break and work on something else too. So, what are some suggestions for things to make for a 4 1/2 yr. old girl? I don't really think she'd wear crochet slippers, shoes, or boots. What else could I make her? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

How about a scarf? I think one of Twinkie Chan`s cupcake scarfs or a ginger-bread-man scarf would be awesome!

Thank you so much for that suggestion. Those cupcake scarfs are so cute. I think that's what I will make her. Smiley

I think a flower headband would be cute too. If I have enough time to make both I will. Great suggestions.

I LOVE Twinkie-Chan!!!

Ahem, anyways, my first thought was an adorable little poncho, maybe with bobble stitches or other textural interest. If you're not yet a member of Ravelry, I highly recommend it!

Here's a free pattern for a shell trimmed poncho of major-cuteness!

Good luck with your projects Cheesy
