http://udandi.com/projects/pillow.jpg

*lampshade fringe
*rodeo print fabric
*leftover denim leg (from jeans turned into skirts)
*pillow form
*sewing machine

I didn't use a pattern, just used the pillow form as a guide and cut the front and back pieces.

For the back, I used the side of the denim leg so I could open the seam and have it serve as an opening for removing the cover for washing purposes without having to hem the opening.

I pinned the fringe to the edges along with the front and back pieces, which overlapped slightly for that above mentioned opening and hit the sewing machine!

I love it. This has reminded me of the utter absence of fringe in my life.

thanks for the kind words!

I have a bad habit of buying items when they're clearanced even though I don't have a project in mind, but thinking I'll never see it again!   I got that fabric about 2 months ago at Joann's and the fringe at michaels because it was marked down.

Great pillow! Here's some good cowboy/cowgirl fabric: http://www.reprodepot.com/cowboyroundup.html

A bit pricey, but I have had the pleasure of working with the "cowgirl cuties" fabric and the constant grin while sewing is well worth the price, especially if you only need a little for a pillow.

Super idea, using the jeans on the back. I am a pillow girl, my sister and I will have to try! Thank-you

They have similar (and maybe even identical) fabric to this at JoAnn, I saw some last week when I was in there and almost got it.... Much cheaper than Repo-Depot. (That store has great styles but I've often seen the same fabric they sell for $9.00 a yard in WAL MART for $4.00, so be sure what you're buying is unique!).
