I found a seller on Etsy who used this scent combo recently, and I thought it sounded amazing!

Texture close up:

Ingredients:
15 oz light olive oil
10 oz free trade sustainable palm oil
8 oz coconut oil
1 oz grapeseed oil (helps lather in small quantities)
9.45 oz water
4.75 oz lye

1 oz star anise EO
1 oz peppermint EO
2 pinches of finely ground alkanet root

This came together really well and the scent is fantastic..  very energizing, it's one of the best combos I've ever done Cheesy  Batch cost me $23 for 10 bars though..  meh

thanks for looking!

It turned out great!

I use pomace olive oil for all my soaping, it's the cheapest grade.

I haven't yet made my first batch of CP soap, but I'm planning to in the next week.  I love this scent combination!  I bet this smells amazing.

Oh- I didn't know that the grapeseed oil helps with lather! What would be the most %-wise you would suggest to put in soaps to help with the lather? These soaps look absolutely fantastic! The alkanet root adds a bit of interest to the white soap (I'm jealous how white you were able to get!)  I'm also afraid to get into essential oils because of the price Sad Soooo expensive!!!

I keep hearing no more than 5% because it can go rancid..  I usually try to keep mine at about 3.5% just to make sure..  so basically I just add an ounce to every batch Smiley

Yeah, I thought I found a cheap essential oils seller on Ebay, but the scents have been kind of off recently..  I'm still looking for a good cheap essential oil carrier.  I really like the "Now" brand, maybe I'll try to scout out a discount seller of that.
