Here are a few Harry Potter inspired crafts I've made. The wand is for a Harry Potter themed camp I volunteer at, Private Message me if you want info about the camp.

And for the pictures:

The Wand
To make the wand, I (with my mom's help) first used a knife to whittle a wooden dowel into a wand shape. I then painted it with green and brown acrylic paint. For the vines I wrapped thick hemp twine around it and attached the string with hot glue, and then I painted the string brownish-green.

And a closeup of the base. It's just soft green ribbon wrapped around the dowel.

Wand Holsters
These were simple to make, but I'm fairly happy with their result; they serve their purpose at least.

A Not-So-Scary Monster Book of Monsters
This is my version of the Monster Book of Monsters. I first started it at a HP&DH Release Party, and polished it up/re-did it recently. First I took scissors and cut the pages all jagged. Then I covered the covers with furry green fabric, and lastly made some eyes from felt, puffy paint, and googly eyes.

And the side view:

The wand is nice, good idea with the twine there.
I think you were very creative with the mandrake plant, what a great idea gluing it to a doll Smiley You should think about covering the pot though, I think.

All in all, good job Smiley

This is great, I'm having a Harry Potter themed birthday this year so the wand idea will come in handy!
