Ok, so I admit it, I have never heard of these guys before but looked them up after seeing this swap and WOW!  Really?  Totally awesome, totally my style of tunes!  This is amazing!!  WOW can't wait to see the gallery for this!

I, like Britters25, am stoked that you've discovered Mumford and Sons (I reckon its always more exciting when you discover awesome bands by chance ways like this). If they're your style then you might also like Johnny Flynn or Laura Marling? They're all friends and have all emerged from the same West London music scene. Marcus even dated Laura for a while.

Either way, very excited about this swap! Smiley

i just finished sending mine in. I can't wait to find out my partner so I can fangirl out with them. They are like the only band I fan girl about I swear. It's just something about them that gets me all hot and bothered *fans self*. It's not even their amazing good looks, their music just makes me smile and cry at the same time.

If you like the bluegrass/ folk sound of Mumford and Sons you might like Cadillac Sky and Nickel Creek (which unfortunately are two bands that have broken up) but are AMAZING as well!

Oh man, I cried so hard when Nickel Creek broke up. Well, I guess they're technically on hiatus, but whatever. Sad days Sad Though I did get to see Sara Watkins perform with The Decemberists on this past Thursday so that was cool. The Avett Brothers (played at the Grammys with M&S and Bob Dylan) are also amazing. I think Bob Dylan, Marcus Mumford, and Seth & Scott Avett have the most poetic lyrics in music.

Just sent my questionnaire through! And I'm happy to say that I discovered my love for the Avett Brothers last night, and would like to thank Sarabunny for the suggestion! (And I'm very jealous that you got to see the Decemberists live...)

Always happy to spread the musical love! I got to see The Decemberists live, from right up against the front rail, for free. It was pretty much the most awesome night of my life... Wink

I do have to say though, that if M&S are at Telluride next year I am totally road tripping. I think the chances of them coming through Salt Lake any time soon are very slim. Sad

Oh my gosh! Could you imagine seeing them at Tulluride they have to go back next year. That and do another Railroad Revival Tour. I have a change fund set aside just so I can go to more than 1 concert next year!
