I love your diaper bag & even more that you design it. Fantastic job!!  I'm going to have a great grandbaby In Jan, 2012, so I need to figure out what I'm going to do & this will be great. I really like all the pockets. I love the stuffies & the diaper clutch sounds great too. I'm sure your friend will love it. Thanks for your Ideas!! Cool

That is adorable!  I love your fabric choices!  Love that she dropped hints and you picked them up and made this for her!  She will love it!

Too bad I'm a little late to put some input in, I love the diaper bag, I'd suggest a clutch to go with it, for wallet, make-up, chapstick, extra girly things.

I have a two year old son and he STILL gets plushies, and it drives me bonkers because at this point, he has NO interest in them! LOL I tend to give his stuffed animals all away, unless it's really special.

I really like the design, I'm thinking I need to make one very similar myself! I would love to see a tutorial, or just a basic outline. Even dimensions would be cool! XD

Unfortunately, it got down to the last minute, and for me stuffed animals were the quick and easy thing to do (Pictures of those are in another post). She really appreciated them. Perhaps I can make the clutch as a gift when her baby is born. Right now I am sorta homeless and traveling while I wait for my new apartment to be available (which was part of the reason I had to get it done Sad ).

Below is an image of my planning board. I just used a cutting mat and rotary cutter for measuring the cuts. A lot of it I just planned in my head, but feel free to ask more questions! I know some of what I did isn't on the board... like the zipper flaps (approx. 20"x3.5" of accent and inside fabrics with stiff interfacing...) and order of assembly...

That was just for the outside. I didn't write anything down for the inside because I used the same dimensions.... I decided pocket widths by putting wipes and toys in them and pinning them down Tongue

Hello,
this is a fantastic design and I was just wondering what your dimensions were, or seemed most convenient, for this project.
I have a friend due in April and (if she doesn't already) have a diaper bag I was thinking of making her one and yours is just lovely.
Thanks and all the best,
Tainted
