Welp, I've been lurking forever, so I figured it was time to post.  I made a bag from a pair of blue jeans that didn't fit right (low rise jeans are ick!).  I added an owl and a heart applique and a pocket on the inside out of one of the legs.  The handles are the rolled up legs, and I keep it closed with those snaps that you hammer in.  It's extremely durable and I've been pleased with its performance so far.  It's big enough to fit a couple books and everything I carry on a daily basis.

I've never made a bag before, and thought this was a great idea. I made some mistakes, but feel like trying it again. Here's my first try:

I haven't decorated her toy bag yet, but did manage to get the elastic on to hold her doll accessories and Leapster cartridges. I couldn't justify buying the Leapster bag and the jean purse seemed like a great solution!
