I need a dobby amigurimi crochet pattern, Ive looked in may places and all I have found are knitted ones and I can knit with double pointed needles yet, the ami can be mini sized too, I greatly appreciate any help please.

I looked around a bit and the only thing close that I could find was this crocheted house elf pattern for sale on Etsy:

If you can read French, I saw someone modify this pattern http://helpcrochet.free.fr/lili_rose_elfe_amigurumi.html to make a Dobby--just eliminate all the feminine features.

Another option is converting the knitting pattern you found to a crochet one. You can do a search online to learn how to do that, but I've found that somewhat complicated; what I've done is just to take the number of knit or purl stitches in a round and make the same number of sc, and where it tells you to knit increase in whichever way, sc inc instead. Hope that helps.

I used Google Translate and came up with pretty good instructions, I'm sure if you get stuck on some of the translations one of the more experienced Crocheters here on the forums can assist Smiley  (I'm a noob so I wouldn't know lol).

Here's a pattern with a somewhat friendlier looking Dobby.  It's not free, but it comes with variations to make other adorable creatures.
