This is the first bag I've ever made, it's from Amy Butlers Birdie Sling pattern. I used Amy Butlers soul blossom print. It's definately not a bag I want to carry around everywhere with me. It's much bulkier than I imagined, because of the fusible fleece. Probably better used as tote or carry on type of bag. The pattern was easy enough to follow for a bag newbie though.

Thank you! I can see why people can really get into bag making, it's fun and the experience is quite a bit different than clothing. I wish I could have posted pictures of the inside, but it is so deep and the photos just dont turn out well. I am going to have to make a smaller purse next time, I feel bad this is just hanging in my closet because I havent had a use for it.

Nice job - your centering the fabric really looks great too.  As for a use for the bag, can you use it for a gift for someone you know? Or perhaps use it for a swap? Perhaps someone would want to do a personal swap with you, you send them the bag, they send you fabric or other supplies you want. Just a suggestion!  But the bag is lovely.  Cool

Very nice job, I too am impressed with how well the pattern is centered Smiley I'm OCD like that. You could swap it or give it as a gift if you don't think you will use it.

It's a very pretty bag especially for doing your first one, that's awesome!! If you don't give it away for a gift, maybe use it for a sewing project bag. Anyway Great Job!! Roll Eyes
