I just felt the need to share this and hope no Craftsters are like the Etsy seller I am about to describe. I came across an Etsy seller who lists everything in her shop (crochet, if you are curious, actual items, not patterns) for only .20 cents, presumably to lure in shoppers and cheat Etsy out of sales fees, then charges the actual price as the shipping. For example, pricing a crocheted shawl for say .20 cents but listing the shipping as $45.

You should be able to report that.  I dunno about Etsy, but Ebay certainly takes fee-dodging very seriously.  Sellers may get away with things that annoy other sellers, but fee-dodging directly affects Etsy's profits. That's a whole different ball game.

I did report it. I was just shocked, although I suppose I shouldn't be. I looked at her shop (and discovered the pricing scheme) because I thought surely she had made a typo when listing her prices. All to avoid 3.5%.

Ugh. This is why you always have to check the shipping costs; it can be easy to get burned! Thanks for reporting them.

I hate that!  I actually never noticied it on Etsy, but used to see it on Ebay all the time.  So shady!
