I am so excited to go and see Deathly Hallows Part II, but I won't go until my kids have eared the privilege to see it. So as I wait for them to complete a full week of chores, I decided to make a doll.

When I went shopping to get supplies for another doll, I saw that Joann's had two colors of their Fun Fur yarn on clearance. One was a pretty off white (perfect for blondies) and a gorgeous rusty orange. I bought both, and then when deciding which Harry Potter character to make first it was the one I chose. I plan to make the whole crew, but I decided to start with Ron.

Poor Ron went through such an ugly stage as he was growing up. Who knew that he'd turn out so handsome in the end? Gotta love those Gingers!

My version of Ron is before he finds out that Scabbers is actually an evil villain. Poor Ron. He's still an innocent little boy. And you'll notice that his wand is still intact. LOL!

There's more information about his construction on my blog, if you're interested in that kind of thing. The pattern is an original.
I've learned so much about doll making from Craftster when I participated in the Poppet-a-long. If you want to get started in doll making, it' a great place for learning, and you'll get great support from other doll makers.
