My friend, Deb (who is known on Craftster as 'Yarn or Fabric' but will always be known to me by her 'old' name of 'CraftyDeb') has been designing crochet projects for many years now and back about 4-5 years ago she designed a penguin that I always meant to make but never got around to.  Well, I came across the pattern last week and finally decided to give it a go.

This was very fun to work up and I'm thrilled with the outcome.  He's just shy of 14" tall.  My husband and 19 yo son even like him - my husband commented about it last night a number of times so I know it's a great success.

So without further ado, may I present Deb's Penguin:

I also want to say a HUGE thanks to Deb for helping me get back into the swing of crochet.  I haven't done much, if any, in the last couple of years but through her encouragement and friendship, I'm back at it.
