Ok, I admit...I have a problem! I obessivley collect scrap yarn, I just cant throw it away! and I never seem to be able to fin the time to use any of it up :/
I started this scrapghan on the 9th June and finished on the 21st July, working on it on and off inbetween other programs. I LOVE it!
Its much bigger than I first envisioned, I thought it would just be a lapghan by the time I was finished, but it actually fits quite well on my king size bed Cheesy yay!

Hope you likey

I used these 3 patterns (which I adapted to make them 5" squares)

The rest I made up as I went along Smiley

Amazing, just totally and completely amazing. I'm jealous, not only of this incredible piece of functional artwork but also your ability to do all those stitches and sit for long enough to finish the whole thing off. It's a stunner.

Extremely lovely!  You are truly a talent.  Did you start and complete this in the same year?  You mentioned June and July, would that be in the same year?  I can see you making some duvet covers and stuff like that in the same technique to complement your creations!

Wow I can't believe you did that so quickly! It looks really great! You've inspired me to try to get myself to do something like this... even though in reality I'll probably just keep staring at all the yarn I have laying around haha

Totally inspired! thank you.  I wonder if I have the stamina to do it tho'??  I've started a hexie quilt and 20 - 7 hexie "flowers" in I've already hit a wall!  Note to self - finish what you start!

Your blanket is so gorgeous - how do you join your blocks?

We're both the same with scraps of yarn - except that I knit.
I don't seem to  be reducing my stash at all. Did this help yours?

A combination of making this and HAVING to throw some out to make room for our impending arrival means I now only have around 1 black sack full of scraps left Smiley I feel proud lol.

That is sooo amazing, and inspiring! I made granny squares, but never learned any of the fancy squares. Don't have nearly the yarn scraps, but what I do have is going to be a DOG SWEATER!
Thanks for showing your incredible work!

This is awesome!  I really like all the different squares.  I'm working on stash-busting myself; I started an afgahn using the hexagon tutorial from the Attic 24 blog last year and I'm still working on it.  Its a nice inbetween-projects-project.  lol  Great work!
