I decided it was time to make something special for my little buddy and I had just purchased the size S hook so I made him a comfy little basket style bed.

Before I even tied the walls up he was in it for the afternoon nap.

Thanks for looking! =)

Your kitty looks so happy! Did you follow a pattern or make it up as you went?

....and how many strands held together?  Did you use three strands of yarn?

It's a really cute bed and sweeeet lil kitty!  Your cat looks so small compared to mine, is he a kitten?

Thank You for the kind comments. Smiley

The pics are deceiving, he is actually 13 yrs old and a bit on the tall/lanky side. The bed measures 15" across and 5" high it was made with an S hook with 3 strands of Lions Hometown USA super bulky yarn. I didn't use a pattern just used the standard increase used in hats to the desired size base and then made the sides by stopping the increases. When I noticed the walls didn't stand up very straight I took one strand and wove it into the wall and tied it tight into the bow to add the stability.

He only slept in it the first day I made it, now it is old and passe I guess, cats can be fickle! =)

Good looking big hook crochet project! Maybe if you turned it upside down, your kitty will want to explore a "cave"Huh
