I love this!  Looks very similar to a top I did fairly recently Smiley  I used a smocked panel in the back for mine (it's pull on as well), how does yours finish in the back for it to be a pull on?

Since I didn't want it clingy, the cherry is pretty loose & the black is stretchy. I just took a rectangle of t-shirt (the black) and sewed it, with a narrow zigzag, to the top of cherry...trapezoid? (Basically a triangle with the top lopped off.  Wink) On the front I sewed in a piece of bias tape so it would stick out on the front then gathered the top with a running stitch, wrapped the bias up and over an sewed it down on the inside. Then sewed up the sides and added the straps, which are just tubes ironed flat, top-stitched and slightly pleated in the front. Oh, and under the boobs I stitched the cherry to it self to help it drape the way I wanted it to.   Easy-peasy!  Grin

Tho, next time, I'll probably sew up the sides and hem before I gather the front, that way I can hem the bottom before the front starts draping.

Awww! That's so cute! You've just inspired me to use up some cherry print in my stash!  Tongue Also, you did an amazing job without a pattern.  Cheesy

Currently interested in doing a personal swap, I'm thinking retro-look/rockabilly clothing. Let me know if you'd be interested. ^_^

You did a really great job! Its really cute...will you be posting a tutorial? I wish I had your skills! The best I can do when it comes to sewing is modifying my son's band shirts into dresses for his sisters once he outgrows them!
