A pox? How delightful, a pox!

So, I made this over the last few days, and it has been a pain! Of course this is the first time I'm making clothing without a pattern. I still need to hem it (hems scare me!) but otherwise I think I'm pretty happy with how its turning out.

Please ignore my dirty mirror!   Tongue

I didn't know you could do that!!
I really love it!

Instead of a hem you could sew seam binding on, or maybe a little ruffle?

I didn't know I could do it either!  I just winged it, luckily any sizing mistakes I made were on the too big side. Cheesy

That is so cute! I love the cherry fabric, and I think it complements your tats. I'm totally impressed that you made it without a pattern and it fits that well.

It's a pull over. The black part is t-shirt material, so it has some stretch. Wink

I love this!  Looks very similar to a top I did fairly recently Smiley  I used a smocked panel in the back for mine (it's pull on as well), how does yours finish in the back for it to be a pull on?

Since I didn't want it clingy, the cherry is pretty loose & the black is stretchy. I just took a rectangle of t-shirt (the black) and sewed it, with a narrow zigzag, to the top of cherry...trapezoid? (Basically a triangle with the top lopped off.  Wink) On the front I sewed in a piece of bias tape so it would stick out on the front then gathered the top with a running stitch, wrapped the bias up and over an sewed it down on the inside. Then sewed up the sides and added the straps, which are just tubes ironed flat, top-stitched and slightly pleated in the front. Oh, and under the boobs I stitched the cherry to it self to help it drape the way I wanted it to.   Easy-peasy!  Grin

Tho, next time, I'll probably sew up the sides and hem before I gather the front, that way I can hem the bottom before the front starts draping.

I have been working on something similar off and on for 3 years.  it is the same at the bustline, but the bottom is a triangle that shows my back.  I would love to know more on how you made the bust and straps
