For the Ongoing Hoopla Swap r2 I picked Troublet for a Greenman Hoop.  She has an affinity for the Urban Threads pattern when I happened to have already had!  SO - After much discussing and consultation and contemplation it was decided that he should be done entirely in satin stitch but his facial leaves are mostly open so as not to lose his face in the pile of leaves.  And his eyes are looking off to the side so they don't creep everyone out by staring straight at people.  Smiley

I only have 2 pictures of this hoop and I'm not sure that one of them is better than the other but I'm posting both of them here anyway.

This hoop took me just under a week.  I started it last Saturday and finished it Friday morning.  And I took a day off in the middle to go to the Aquarium and the requisite knitting breaks!  Cheesy

That's really lovely. I love the satin stitch and your fabric.

Excellent fabric choice.  It looks like cross sections of tree trunk.  Very fitting. Great job stitching too.  I'm always amazed by people who can make such smooth, straight, satin stitches.

He's beautiful! I love the contrast of leaves and swirly tendrils against the background.
