Tutorial: Diaper Bag with Elastic Pocket

Kokoleo, your elastic tutorial inspired me to make my own!  I made it with $4 sheets I bought at a thrift store.  Here it is...

Lovely bag... now if only I had read this about 3 hours ago, before I completely messed up a similar bag with side and front pockets!   did you reinforce the bottom with anything?

The outside fabric is reinforced with heavy Pellon interfacing, so it's sturdy. I've done other bags like this and reinforced the bottom with plastic placemats cut to fit.

Thanks for the idea Kokolo! I made one for my newborn cousin, Freya- the bag is much bigger than her!!

This is it:


Its only got one pocket, but its got another inside and a changing mat in matching (wipe-able) fabric. My mum and I filled it up with girly pressies for her and her mum to enjoy

At the bottom of it I put a piece of card covered in the wipeable fabric, which you can take out if you wash it.
