I claim Jemimah for something from her "things to put other things in box, organiser, project holder, etc."

3rd claim/1 sent/1 received

About Me: My name is Laura and I live in Maryland with my husband, 3 kids, a dog, a cat, a rabbit, 2 lizards (new additions) and frogs.

I love cross stitch and embroidery and I have a huge wall set aside for hoops. It has had many beautiful additions from swapping, but there is a ton of room left to fill.

I pretend I know how to sew and my sewing is improving thanks to some of my past partners linking wonderful tutorials to items they want. I'm working on learning to knit, so anything you think would help me would be most welcome!

I am a huge fan of Firefly/Serenity, steampunk, and the color blue in all shades. Most rooms in my house are white or beige with blue accents, my living room is pale green. I need some color. I'm trying to make our house feel something like a beach cottage (even tho we are about 30 minute drive from the Chesapeake bay) but the house has more of an overstuffed, cluttered, lived in feel.

I claim Averia for a hoop for her hoopla wall
2/0/0

Hi, I'm Pearl and I live in Colorado with my husband and super spoiled cat. We also just found out Im pregnant! I love decorating my house with art. I'm not really into creepy/Gore stuff, but I do love a good alien movie. Anything to do with space or the end of the world really sets my mind spinning! Im a true homebody and spend a lot of time at home, mostly in my basement bar called Fat Can Candies, which is decorated in what I like to call Cowgirl punk. Southwest colors (red, blue, green yellow and a little purple) but not Kuntry Kute. At All. Coyotes howling under cacti and pretty boots are not my cup of tea. Think of a saloon with dancing girls and lush velvet curtains, with hanging colored glass lanterns scattered around the room.  I love watching Battlestar Galtica, Firefly, Carnivale, Deadwood, Weeds, and um, Teen Mom. I read a lot. I recently did a sort of informal tally and concluded that Ive read 2 books a week for the past 20 years. I also love spending time in my little studio room (which we call the Ladies Auxiliary. Why yes, we have named every room in the house. Doesnt everyone?) just puttering around making things.

Crafts:
Knit or crochet:
*BIG WISH! hand-knit socks* I know these are a large item for some people, but if you're one of those wonder knitters who can whip out socks like magic, I will give them a good, loving home! Most of the students at my school call me "The sock teacher" because I have a huge collection of fun socks
*Arm warmers/shrug for work

*Placemats or embroidered napkins
* NEWa farm or city themed playmat inspired by this one: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=367169.0
