My daughter made her first ever project yesterday. She chose the fabric, the pattern, and did all the sewing. She decided to make the taxi tote from Anna Maria Horner's book 'Seams to Me'. She chose the fabrics from my stash, and coincidentally chose one of AMH's new fabric line. it is gorgeous fabric, which I only just bought last month. I love the outer, lining and binding fabrics she selected. Can you blame me if I'm proud as punch?

the final pic shows the button loop. she hasn't sewn on the button closure yet.

Nice!  I'd be proud, too.  Your daughter's learned a skill that will give her lots of satisfaction and save her megabucks!  Well done!

I am an apologist for the spiders.

Just treat me no differently than you would the Tarantula Queen.
