Finally done and in the mail! This took forever between the rest of life happening, but I'm happy with how it came out.  Grin This is the first bag I've done. Usually I just do journals with my Teesha Moore style patches. I was really paranoid about it coming apart or something, so it's stitched like crazy. I kinda want to do one for myself eventually.

This one has as much of an owl theme as I could manage. Phrixy did the felted owl patch. The green owl fabric was thrifted from a kids garment. Unfortunately I couldn't seem to get any owl yardage locally so the lining is eagles instead.

Thanks for the great comments!

I use fringe on my journal spines so it seemed natural to me to put it on the bag too. This one isn't as thick as my usual fringe, but in general I love the texture it adds to these items.  Cheesy

As everyone before me has said....the fringe on this piece is WONDERFUL!!!!  I'm making a bag right now that will hopefully include a fair amount of fringe at the bottom....I hope mine comes out as well as this!!  Love it, love it, love it.

I had a lot of fun felting the owl, but this was ALL Icekibby. She's so awesome when it comes to these things. I was also afraid it might come off, so she stitched it down too. lol
