I picked up a boring address book, new (still in the packet!), in a charity shop recently and gave it a bit of a sewing-themed facelift.

The cover was lovely and spongy and when I took off the top layer of paper from the top, I realised that was because they sandwich a layer of thin sponge between two layers of card. I'll have to remember this for future projects!

A bit better than the before I think? Cheesy

This is so cute! I love it, and I think I'll keep my pattern scraps from the future to recover my next journal in a sewing style. I've seen it a couple times around here, and it's such a thrifty (and aweomse!) idea!

Also - Weirdest thing. My boss and I just recently exchanged a series of emails about how I need more Terry Prachett in my reading diet  Tongue I guess I should get on that!

Thanks! Patterns, especially old ones, seem to work so well for layering Smiley
