Hi Lady4',
I've not finished the back yet. I'm planning on using a black sheet for the backing, stitching it to 3 sides so that I can still get inside to do maintenance.

It is very warm & thick. It's surprisingly heavy. We mostly use it on the couch when we're reading or watching TV. It's nice to sleep under but by morning we're pretty hot under it.

I've still not backed this blanket despite it's being in use for a year now. I'm not quite sure how to go about it. I'd love to hear from anyone who's done something like this with advice on how to go about attaching a backing and about what material would be best to use.
Thanks!

Just a quick update on this project. I gave up on backing it myself. A local furrier is going to do it for me. I'll post pictures when I get it back...

Awesome!  Loving the coyote fur too.  It's a nice fur to work with too!
What color did they back it with?  Black like you wanted?

I'm really bummed that I didn't see your post at first or I could have offered thoughts on backing it yourself.  Smiley

It's gorgeous, and just perfect for winter!  I'm up in Fairbanks, and love fur.  It really helps when it hits -40.  I have a wolf on my couch right now.

Looking to de-stash cross stitch magazines, particularly Cross Stitch Gold or New Stitches?  Please drop me a line!  I'd love to swap or buy some missing from my library!

Yes, I enjoyed working with it.

We went with a rust-brown color, I'll attach a pic.

Thanks, I'm afraid I haven't the skill

4700 reads! I'm humbled. This summer in AK has been so cool, we're still using this on the weekend mornings into August...
