I've been stalking Urban Threads for a good long time now, and finally decided to try a small pattern.  I <3 the little alien who <3's the cow!! I have no idea what I'm going to do with him now....any project suggestions?  I'm not sure I just want to frame/hoopla him....but I'm not sure I want to put him on a purse or journal or something where he'll take wear and tear Sad

The pattern is here: Abducted

Yay! I hope you like him!  I had fun playing with the textures and doing lots of stitch googling, lol Smiley

Awww, that's so adorable!  I love the little cow's tongue sticking out, and the <3 in the bubble.

you could stick him on a purse, but put a layer of clear vinyl over him. Smiley My best friend would LOVE this.

That is so adorable. Great job stitching! I would frame him so he doesn't get all yucked up.

You are ambitious to do so much fill stitching on your first embroidery and on black fabric no less!  Your stitching is wonderful.  The cow really does look soft and lovable in those french knots, too.  Great job.

I started out planning to just outline it, but I didn't much like it when I did, so I spent a long time googling fill stitches....You actually can't tell in the photo, but they're not straight at all!  Whatever, I wasn't going to get that nit-picky on my first go, lol.  I was also afraid the cow would end up looking like a sheep with the fluffy knots, so I added a couple extra spots on him Grin

And thanks for all the kind comments, they're much appreciated!

Your first piece involved satin stitching and black fabric? Congrats! He is adorable!
