For this project, we had to take a xeroxed copy of a black and white photo, zero in on a section of it, and draw that section in large scale. Although I had done well with the apple/vase/pear drawings, this was my first scene. I love the way it turned out and thought I would share!

Thanks y'all! It's actually just graphite. Smiley I used the jet black (vigorously) on the dark parts.

Thank you all so much! I took an art appreciation class and a humanities class at the time I needed to decide what upper level education route I was going to have to take. Although I have always loved crafts and projects, I never considered it as a career choice. (I mean, school is supposed to suck right?!) But those classes really solidified my decision to go to school for art with a teaching certificate. I was going for English/Literature w/teaching but it doesn't make me quite as happy! Smiley And everyone knows the old saying about doing what you love!! Smiley
