I made this costume for my 7 year old after we watched Cleopatra with Liz Taylor whom she is named after and she begged to be Cleopatra ala Liz Taylor i used the simplicity pattern 2329 and added a few of my own touches etc. like substituting lame ;P for faux silk & a fabulous white heavyweight cotton with a sheen to it seemed less tacky more Taylor lol

LOL! So now you just need your youngest into historical figures, right? I'm amazed you got them to actually watch "Cleopatra!" Daaaaang, that's a long movie! I remember the first time I watched "The Ten Commandments" with Charlton Heston... O.o

Yea I'm a huge history buff lol I love the grand ole epics, all three of my kids even my youngest (4) sat thru Gone With the WInd her name is Scarlett and she was Scarlett O 'Hara last year lol Its rubbing off on them I guess lol
