Huzzah for Bird Pants!

Hi there! Let me first make a confession: I've just realized that pretty much all of my posts on Craftster are bird-oriented.
Okay, I've accepted that. Moving on -



Bird pants! These are made from a $6 pair I found at Goodwill, and hemmed. (I swear the legs are even, I just had them stretched out weird so you could see the birds well). I was inspired by these awesome jellyfish jeans made by irishdaydreamer.

I used various photos online and from my own pigeon and dove pictures to draw out some stencils on freezer paper. I was going to use bleach like the jellyfish jeans, but my tests on scrap jean fabric turned out ultra blobby.

I decided to go with fabric paint instead, and it worked just fine!

And to celebrate the occasion of a new outfit after making the jeans and changing the straps on my shirt, I decided to make a pendant to go with it:



Yup, that's a tiny feather in a tiny glass bottle. More birds, I can't help it.

LOVE. THESE.  I really really love these. I think the fabric paint looks really good especially in the details. I think using bleach would have not allowed that. I love how they look kinda three D..Like their flying at you. Great job! I would wear these in a heartbeat....and probably sleep in them....caaaaauuuse I don't want to take them off..
