I know this skull & roses cotton fabric is everywhere. I don't care; I love it. I had a fairly small piece, so I decided to make a top of it to wear out for my birthday last month.

I used the same muslin I made from the Dragon Dress tutorial, only I lengthened the midriff section and back, and flared them out a little to go over my hips, and eliminated the skirt, of course.

The whole thing is lined (with red) and there's a zipper down the back. One other modification to the tutorial: instead of pleating the bust, I gathered it. It's a nice variation, I think.

Thanks for looking!

Haha- I love the fabric too, and who cares is it's everywhere? Smiley Besides, unless your a seamstress/crafter you probably haven't seen it anyway!
The top turned out really cute! I like that it covers a little more than most tanks, so your bra doesn't show. (Bras are definitely a necessity for me!)

Also, ouch! - speaking as a pasty person, your sunburn looks painful.  Cry
