I have Never met an unimportant person. Never.

I'm working on a gift for an expecting friend.  Her son's nursery is decorated in knights & dragons.  After debating what I could make, I decided upon a tiny dragon friend for the little knight to befriend.

Even though I'm posting this on the completed board, I'm unsure if I should add other details.

I tend to overthink everything but decided that since this was for a newborn, pieces should be as few in number as possible.  The nose is the only part that was created separate from the main body, the spines are crocheted directly onto the finished ami.  I figured that made it more nom-able and didn't add legs since they didn't look right.

If I make another one, I will weight the bottom a bit so it can stand, but I didn't want it to become a painful toy to be hit with. Cheesy

Any thoughts?  Comments?  I'm thankful for any Wink

It looks so soft and cuddly! You have done a great job and I dont think anything needs adding. I'm sure the little knight will love it when he arrives Smiley

So cute! I love the simplicity of this, it's perfect for a baby. The yarn looks lovely and soft and the design has just the right amount of detail.

Thank you for letting me know!

The yarn is a bulky chenille I found on clearance paired with a smaller chenille from a garage sale.

Angry Angel, I used the nose of one of your dragons as basis for the nose, except I went directly from crocheting one nostril to the other using 1 sc between.   Thank you for encouraging others to learn ami techniques with your patterns!

Saski, it really is cuddly.  I'm keep finding myself absent-mindedly picking it up for a quick rub.
