Well I tried recipe 3 using the 1 1/2 cups of butterscotch to 1/2 cup white chips way... and you were right, Jennie, it made it a lot softer. Result was a firmer top "head" of the fudge, with a much softer "beer" part on the bottom. I'm thinking next time I might try the recipe as written, but add one of those Lorann butterscotch flavorings with the other extracts... Hmmm...

It wasn't bad, just a little strange to have two different consistencies in one fudge, lol. My "testers" didn't mind, so I guess neither should I!  Cheesy

What a great idea. I am lame and haven't read HP so I was out of the loop with what butterbeer was, but based on the ingredients it sounds super tasty.  Smiley

This is so amazing.  Love the printable cards!

Has anyone else noticed how freakin' hard it is to find good recipe card templates out there?  The ones you can download as a Word document are usually painfully grandma-ish, circa 1997.  There are lots of pretty and modern printable ones out there, but they are all printable only, so you have to hand write the recipes out.  Eventually I tried creating my own template in Word yesterday, but soon abandoned it.  Eventually I just used Powerpoint, because with that I could move the text blocks and pictures wherever I wanted them easily.

Good to know!  I'll be sure to use PPT for future endeavors!  Publisher is good for this, too, but I think you have to pay for the arm and leg version of Office.

Whenever I have projects that require moving a lot of text and images around, I use GIMP.  It's free, and really easy to use.  It's also got a guides system so you can easily align everything perfectly.
