Soooooo I just was in the Decked Out for Deathly Hallows Part 2 swap and had so much fun! My partner put in her questionairre that she really wanted a bag or purse of some sort and that her favorite character was Tonks.

I embroidered Tonks's patronus (a werewolf) onto the cover of a messenger bag that I sewed up after embroidering. I got the pattern from a book called One Yard Wonders and I love it! I also embroidered a ton of the spells from the books and movie around the outside of her patronus and along the shoulder strap. There is one part on there that is NOT a spell, but a "line" from the books: friends friends friends. It is what Luna has painted around the top of her room, encircling a painting of her friends. I plugged that in since Luna is my favorite character and I wanted to place her there somehow. Smiley

All of the lettering is done in silver and various colors while the patronus is done in glow in the dark thread.
The bottom around the button says "I open at the close".

Anyway, hope you enjoy!

EDIT: here's a link to where I posted everything I sent her. There's lots more goodies! http://mywyldchild.blogspot.com/2011/07/deathly-hallows-part-2.html

Awe thanks! Tonks is kind of a side character and a little obscure in the movies, but she was fun to think about while making this. Man it took a long time! But it sure was fun. Wink

LOL thanks! I thought that when I was in the fabric store searching it out. At the time, I didn't know what I was going to do to it besides a messenger bag and then I grabbed that fabric. It was just a happy little explosion of "embroider me!"
