I used these instructions to join the tabs, then made the lining from the last remnants of a cheap fabric I got a long time ago (actually the second attempt at a lining, since the first one I made was too big! That's what I get for not taking the FOLDED wallet measurements  Tongue Too bad, since the first lining had card slots and an ID window. Oh well. Guess I'll just have to make another wallet...)

I cannot crochet, so I weaved them using ribbon. I have come to the part to make and add the lining, and I just can't figure out how to attach the lining!
Any helpful hints or tips to share to a fellow crafter? I just adore this, and I cannot believe how great it looks!

Well, the zipper was first-- I got a 14" zipper and cut it off at the length that I wanted it to be, i.e. the edge of the folded-up wallet.
The conventional method for installing a zipper-- basting the edges closed and sewing it in-- doesn't work in this case, obviously, so I had to improvise. I pinned the (closed) zipper to the edges of the wallet, one side at a time so that I had room to stick my hand in and sew it in. After I finished one side, I would pin the next section, partially unzip the section I'd just sewed in to give me more working room, and sew the next side. This is my go-to guide for zippers.

I'll do a lining explanation on Paint and put it up in a bit.
