Yep, this is what happens when geek's are on maternity leave. those of you who are familiar with stargate SG1 will (hopefully) recognise Jack O'Niell... whose of you who aren't should still be able to appreciate the sentiment I think :-)

and on the hoop:

I tried to use my intuition/gut feeling about how to compose the image, starting with the larger shaded areas, filling them in with satin stitch, and then outlining that, and doing the finer lines with backstitch. The text is done in a mixture of chain stitch and backstitch to make some words seem more bold than others.

hope it tickles you :-)
1 1/2 weeks to go...

The blog post is here.

I LOVE SG-1.  I can hear Jack O'Neal's voice in my head saying this!  Nice job.

And, as an aside, I think the last 3 weeks of both pregnancies were my most craft-tastic.

And, as another aside, if my 2nd baby had been a boy, I would've named him Daniel Jackson.  KID YOU NOT!

*fingers crossed* it's ALL about keeping the baby happy... and surrounding him/her with things that are going to keep us smiling at 2am :-)

I love it.

thankyou :-)

My mother would be *so* proud if me if I named Squiggle Jack O'Neill or Daniel Jackson. (no joke, she genuinely would!)

I joked on facebook that I was going to call it Jack if it's a girl and Thor if it's a boy... the response I got was quite favourable!! hahah... my friends and family huh!
