My daughter was in need of some dresses that fit her well, so I've been on the prowl for tutorials for little girl dresses.  This is one I found on Make it Love it a while back.  You use an old t-shirt of the child in question, cut off the bottom, make a skirt, and attach it to the bottom.

http://www.makeit-loveit.com/2010/05/re-purposing-t-shirt-into-dress.html

here's my version Smiley

The skirt...pleated with a sash.

Don't you love when you send your child inside to get their shoes and they come out in something like this?  Yep.  Snow boots.  In the middle of a heat wave in the spring.  My crazy child.

Have the sash really makes it fit well.  Which is what we're going for since her clothes hardly ever fit well.  She turns 4 in August and weighs 27lbs.  Know of any great little girl dress tutorials?  I would love to hear about them!!

I love the pleats and sash.  I have made a number of t-shirt dresses, but yours is a step above mine!

What a great dress for such a cute little girl, and glad I am not the only one walking around with kids in snow boots lol.

I love the boots in the summer!  have you ever looked up vegbee's blog?  indietutes.blogspot.com  If you're pretty comfortable around DIY patterns, she's your girl!
