Even though I posted my Blackwork E first (see it HERE) this is actually the first blackwork piece I have ever done.

I made it for Averia in the Ongoing Hoopla Swap.  I had never done any blackwork and didn't want to study up on it so I just went for it, hoping it would turn out okay.  I'm pleased with it except if I could do it over, I would change the K a little so some of it didn't look so wonky.  It's in a 4" hoop and as I did with the E, I put the aida cloth in a 6" hoop, traced the 4" hoop onto the cloth and made sure the stitching was large enough that when I framed it, it filled the entire thing.

I have an idea brewing in my head for some redwork and once I get a few other projects finished, I'll see if I can get my idea from my brain onto canvas.
