I was so surprised to get them, actually! I remembered putting them on there, but I guess I was expecting one of the more traditional characters! I'm so happy I had a chance to spark your creativity. Cheesy

I forgot to mention how much I enjoyed the eyes as well. They look really great, and I don't think anything else (felt, paint, etc) would have looked as nice on these dolls.

Honestly, I would love to be your partner any time. Just....no new crafts unless it's the ONLY swap I'm in!! I learned my lesson. Smiley

It sounds like a deal then Wink No new crafts unless its your only swap, lol.

Thanks for the compliment on the eyes! I was really troubled about them: the faces were too small for felt and the only examples I could find of anime/manga eyes were either felt or iron-on.  I figured out if I just "traced" the way the yarn goes in the single crochets of the amigurumi with embroidery thread, it made pretty decent manga-styled eyes.  That and making sure there were 4 strands of thread so they filled quickly Wink

Ok fellow swappers...get those wists prepared for some awesomeness...

SAILOR PLUTO!!!

Yes. I know you are all jealous of the completely best Sailor Pluto crafted item to ever walk this earth.  Plus, the awesomeness of Sailor Pluto is even more so since scientists up and decided to de-classify Pluto as a planet, hehe Wink

Hair (the yarn I think was made to be Pluto stuffie hair)

Front fuku detail:

Back fuku detail w/ hair moved aside:

Look at her cute boots! Perfect for kicking butt...haha, get it? KICKING butt?? (Sorry, I inherited my Dad's sense of humor.)

Head detail.  I couldn't decide between flash/no flash, so I'm posting them both Wink

Look at those eyes! Not only is minathia a talented poppet maker, but she's an artist too! (again flash vs no flash)

Thanks minathia! Totally worth the wait!! She's gorgeous!

OMG I know you like it because you took so many pictures!! Cheesy

I'm actually REALLY glad I joined this swap. I was in one of the first rounds of the DIY kit swap months and months ago, and I got a poppet kit. This gave me the courage to finally use it. Smiley

And again, I love swapping with you striker! You always make me feel so good with your excitement. That and you make me some freaking amazing crafts in the meantime! BSBF (best swap buddies forever) ***

***I'm tired and goofy. If that wasn't funny you can ignore it lol.

YAY! BSBF!!!! Grin  I have to hide Pluto when I'm not home, otherwise I'm sure the cats will try and maul her hair (yikes!), but when I am home, I'll have her sit with me on the couch while I craft! Smiley  I'm also planning to bring her to knit night and show her off!  I'm probably gonna tweet/G+ it later today too!

ETA: You should post this in the Doll forums!  I think this is an excellent poppet!

She's awesome! The costume is great in the details, and you captured her kindness well. Great job!

Love that Sailor Pluto!  The hair colour is perfect.

Okay okay~! I am a lazy bum and recieved forever ago and didn't take pictures until today. (And I just so happened to BREAK my camera while doing it... technology today... Undecided )

ANYHOO~! I got two amazing things! Fiiirstly...

Sailor Moooon!  Cheesy This is too cute! It's way different than the one I crocheted, so its always fun to see the differences in how a fellow crochet-er makes things. And I don't think I've ever gotten anything crocheted in a swap before!

And a little sewn Jupiter, my favorite senshi! Goodness knows I can't sew to save my life, so this is pretty awesome!

Aw, they're both cuties. And seeing them I suddenly realized I forgot something on the ones I sent tabiekat, aargh... Jupiter is my favourite, too.
