I wanted an accessory for my steam punk costume that was more than just gears glued onto something.  When poking around the internet, I fell in love with the concept of tick-tock attack creatures.  After gaining inspiration from a few different tutorials, my spiders were born.

AH! These are so cool. I love how you have the bit of chain "silk" that they're hanging from. Gorgeous.

I'm another arachnophobe.  I just can't bear them, but yours are so beautiful maybe I need to make one like them as a kind of therapy.  Who knows, maybe I can learn to love them too. Thanks for all the lovely pictures.

I'm not a huge spider person either, lol.
I am just weirdly fond of them in bead form.  It's just such a neat way to show off cool beads.  I've started shopping with an eye out for thinks that would make cool spider-butts ;-P

I looked over the original tutorial I used for inspiration, and realized that the way I do it does not at all resemble the tutorial anymore.  Next batch I make up for the etsy shop I will take pictures and post a tutorial :-)
