Spooky Pooky double dog dared me to make a traditional vampire doll after I made her the Ghost Girl doll, and since I had just created a new pattern, I thought it would be fun to make a vampire.
Victor is 12" tall seated, and has jointed knees, which was a new thing for me to try. I love experimenting with my pattern making and learning new things. His hair is made from fun fur yarn by crocheting it into a cap and then pinning it in place and sewing it on by hand. My favorite part of any doll is their face and hair. I knew that I wanted him to have a faux hawk. My only difficulty was choosing the yarn. They have so many fun colors to choose from. I had to have my Mom hold them behind her back and choose randomly. I love the sparkle that shows up in the pictures. After painting his face my husband said that he looked like the son of Bella Lugosi. I didn't know who that was, but after Googling his name and seeing who he was, I added the chin dimple.

He wears a satin shirt with a 19th century collar, and ruffled sleeves; a red velveteen vest; gray herringbone slacks, and a red satin lined cape. His boots are made from a faux suede fabric, as is his bat.

I love how he turned out and can't wait to put him on display closer to Halloween.
thanks for lookin'

Aboo, Charlotte and Victor are great, but I think Victor is my Fave. Great job as usual.

Thank you NyteFyre! I agree that he is the most charming of the three, but I think that Sylvia is my favorite. It's a good thin that I know that Spooky Pooky will give her a great home with lots of siblings!
