UPDATE:  I used Armor Etch to etch these sushi plates and I refired them to 1340 degrees on their molds in my kiln with fantastic results! Just look at them now:

So much shinier!

---------------

This was another experiment with mica powder. I think I used a little too much on the one plate and they probably need to be etched then refired to regain their shine. Enjoy!

The only way these would look better would be if they were sitting right in front of me with sushi on them!

Scholars and artists...differ most importantly in the way their knowledge is come by.  Scholars get theirs with conscientious thoroughness along projected lines of logic; poets...stick to nothing deliberately, but let what will stick to them like burrs where they walk in the fields.
