Here is a Tribute to several Generations of Crafty Ladies in my family...

All my life i have enjoyed crafting, weather it be sewing, baking, flower arranging, butterfly collections, doll making, you name it...and usually i wasnt crafting alone.
So for this challenge, i decided to make something for my crafting area that would be a piece of rememberance as well as inspiration!
I have included my grandmother, AKA "Mamaw", my Great Grandmother, known as "Ma", and my Great Great Grandmother Kennedy.

While making it i sadly didnt take before photos or in process, i just got the groove going and didnt stop lol. But what i started with was an old unfinished wooden container that use to hold rubber stamps, a broken mantel clock, a piece of wood left over from a past swap, various fabrics, antique buttons & brooch, scrapbooking materials, a sparkly key, other small oddities, a photo of my great great grandmother kennedy, my mamaw's signiture, and my Ma's hanky....
Ma's hanky is in the old clock, she always had one on hand, and they were always so cheerful looking where at least if you had a runny nose, you were stylish! I made it into a flower shape as she use to grow and also make paper flowers. When she didnt have any flowers in the yard and a loved one or neighbor passed away, she would get out her stash of tissue paper and make lovely flower wreaths for their memorial.

Here is my Great Great Grandmother Kennedy in the center surrounded by all sorts of crafty inspiration, most are every day things as she had to work with what she had.

My Sweet Mamaw's signiture on a quilt like background as i cant count the days i spent quilting or playing like it was a tent when i was too small to help as i loved to play under the frame. She and i use to catch butterflies for science projects, the wooden bowl for all the baking of biscuits, and the tea parties we enjoy to this day.

With this nearby, i dont think i will ever feel like i am crafting alone.

Thanks for checking out my entry! :0)
