I know that a lot of people make purses, clothes ,etc.So I was wondering do you use what you make?Or do you have a problem like me.I live in a small town that is very conservative.A lot of stuff would be frowned upon.Or maybe it's that I'm a little shy to wear the stuff I make  Undecided.Just wondering  Undecided.

Most of what I make is given away in swaps or as gifts.

In my opinion, if you made something you love, you should rock it and be proud! Smiley

I have my own little rule for this...  If I can't wear it, use it, or give it away (to someone who will actually like it) I take whatever it is back apart for parts for something else.  I don't always continue to wear things, once I can make them much better (I recently got rid of several skirts that had frayed facings, wavy hems, and no zippers), but I always try to re-use the material for some other project.

My satisfaction is in the making. When a project is finished, I seldom care to keep it.

I mostly don't make things that I don't think will be used. If not by me, then by whoever I give them to. My weakness is toys; I love making them even if my son has little interest in playing with them. One day he may drown in stuffed toys.

i don't think i personally own a single thing that i've made... is that weird? the nice thing about crafts is that they can always find a good home somewhere with someone that will appreciate them.

I'm with Cady here.

I'm lousy at tossing self made wares out and I don't want to have useless things lying around my little apartment, and I don't want to burden my friends with them either.

As a result I'm not all that productive..  Roll Eyes

Same here.  I have very little of what I've made over the years.

Once I make something I tend to lose interest in it.
Of course there are some things I keep and use/display and some things I give away, but I also have things that just seem to get stuck in a box or in a closet, or just disappear.
