A friend of mine announced about a month ago that she was engaged. Yay! I immediately began making plans to make her a wedding afghan, figuring I'd have 8-12 months to finish the massive project . . . but no. She's getting married the first weekend in September . . . OF THIS YEAR. D:

So I'm looking for something else I could make for her and her fiance' that would still be meaningful like an afghan, but not require nearly as much time. Ideas/suggestions, please. Smiley

I would recommend this or any of the afghans really on this website. They are very pretty and you can change the color schemes to maybe whatever they are using at the wedding for that special touch!
Hope that helped.

amigurumi's of the bride and groom would be cute and quite quick to make, but I'm not sure if they'd have quite the same sentimental, meaningfulness of something like an afghan...

Would two his and hers lapghans be workable in your timeframe?

I like the pillows idea as well.
