I'd love to do this swap but my post office won't even let me send an ATC for $0.44! They charge me the extra $0.20 because, "there is something stiff inside". It's a card!!! Grr. LOL. That's my post office.  Cry

They should not be charging you extra if it is flat!  Undecided Do you write anything like "do not bend" on it? My PO told me that costs extra, but if you don't have any special handling instructions and it still fits size/weight requirements then they can't charge you extra. You only risk them bending the envelope along the way, but since regular envelopes don't usually get bent to fit into mail boxes it shouldn't be a problem.

I suggest just putting a stamp on it and dropping it in the box, then see if it comes back  Tongue

I agree with kartiana- that's just not right! But I bet she's also right about them delivering it with just a stamp. I think sometimes they just charge you extra at the post office. I've metered packages at work and then taken the same size/weight of box to the post office and had them charge me as much as a dollar more... and had both boxes delivered in the same amount of time.

I have great people working at my postoffices.  They'll even suggest using an ordinary priority box if it turns out cheaper than the flatrate, etc.  I wouldn't  work there and put up with all the stress they face daily for anything.
