Hey, peoples! I'm a long-time lurker and a first-time poster... I thought I'd share my latest re-construction (well, kind of). I got an orange zip-up hoodie/jacket at the mall for only $3 (with no defects! Huzzah!) and I decided to attack it with some stenciling work and random fabric. I had a spiffy Sirius Black (from Harry Potter) picture and I decided to make it into a stencil so I could put it on the back of the jacket. So I took white paint and stenciled the picture onto black fabric. I also took some old scraps of fishnet fabric and attached them behind the black, then I did a messy-looking sewing job to keep the theme going. Here it is (the sewing wasn't done on the right when I had the picture taken but it was the only time I could use the camera, heh):

Oh I really like that! Cheesy Good Job!
I've been planning to put something like "Three broomsticks" and "Hogsmead" on a t-shirt or a pair of capri pants I've made.

That is amazing!  I love that it looks so street-badass, yet it's from good 'ole Harry Potter Grin

Thanks! And yeah, I'm from Aura! This is quite the coincidence... What's your name there?

Thank you! I got the Sirius picture from HotTopic.com. They were selling Sirius Black shirts and I wanted a jacket instead...

Thanks!

I bought a second jacket and I'm planning on making the same design on it and then put it on sale. How much do you all think I should charge? Like if you saw a product like that at the mall, how much would you expect it to be?
