I made this clock over the weekend for a friend's birthday! Her birthday was actually in May, but better late than never. She's an avid knitter and has even tried to teach me (FAIL) so I wanted to theme her present around that.

I got a bunch of knitting needles at the thrift store, mod-podged a cool piece of scrapbook paper onto a thrift store clock, glued on the needles, slapped the mechanism back on, and done!

My favorite pair is the set of blue ones in the lower left corner. It was a pair of circulars that I cut apart. I think it gives it kind of a mod feel along with the retro feel of the houndstooth.

Hope she'll like it, even though it's super late. Thanks for looking!

How unusual and personal, great!

Look twice, buy once. Nooooo
Look twice, decide I can make one instead.

It's funny, I just woke up, so I'm still kinda blurry, and I'm looking at the photos of the clock, not realizing they were knitting needles.  I thought to myself, "That would be a great clock with crochet hooks too!"  Grin
