Hi everyone, it's been quite a while since I've posted here, though I do lurk about quite a bit!  I have a question and hope someone can help, I tried to search, but couldn't find anything to help me (though it could be the wording I used), but anyway... After watching a craftster tutorial video about drawing on plates and tiles with ceramic pens I tried my hand at it, they turned out pretty well, but I realized that in the video it instructs you to use the same technique on the plates as you would when you make the coasters, trace and paint.  It does not say wether or not you're supposed to bake them as well.  I baked mine anyway, as it was an oven safe dish, and it looks good,  but are they safe to eat off of?  Will the paint eventually wear or chip off?  And as far as the cups they showed in the video, do you bake those as well?  I'm so excited to make a set of these so I hope someone knows!  Thanks a bunch!

Let's swap.

The instructions on the paint will define whether you need to bake it or not and I guess it may say about food safe as well. I wouldn't assume it's food safe unless it says so on that particular paint as I know some colours can be more toxic than others.

Look twice, buy once. Nooooo
Look twice, decide I can make one instead.
