Finally got this done a few days ago... It turned out much larger than I thought it would (it was supposed to be a petite pillow for my petite grandmother), but oh well!

that looks great!  is the button in the front what actually holds it together, or is there another opening on the back somewhere?

It is Lionbrand Landscapes... good eye! In "Rose Garden".

It was really simple (the only reason I took it on!)... just a big square in stockinette. After I bound off, I made a pillow, oversewed three corners to meet in the middle, inserted the pillow, and joined all four corners. The button's only decorative!

That's so nice! I've been eyeing that book for a while, and I always end up putting it back on the shelf...would you say it's worth the investment?

Hey, guys! Thanks for all the comments!

I have really liked the book and would say it's worth the investment. The projects are pretty elegant and a good mix (I think) of beginning and more advanced stuff. I'm in love with the ottoman/footrest that's a knitted cube! And there's even a pretty throw that's all garter stitch, too (KerriedAway, it took me so long to learn how to purl... I sympathize!!)

This is nice...

Btw, is that afghan knitted too?

The afghan is from an estate sale... and is this really beautiful quilt made up of velvet squares... and handsewn in parts. I've really loved it and can be found under it most nights! Wink

EDIT: For "loved it" (the blanket) rather than "loved in"--ew.
